Caring for your WordPress website

Website Content: Post Categories

There is some debate about how assigning a single blog post to multiple Post Categories affects SEO.

Some say that assigning multiple Post Categories per post will hurt SEO. Others say it won’t.

However, the arguments in favor of using only one Category for each blog post tends toward, “Well, it probably won’t hurt SEO.”

Therefore, I advise clients to assign only one category per post. In addition to the possibility of improving SEO, it’s likely more helpful for both humans and search engines.

Website Marketing: Blogging

I’ve had some clients tell me they do not want a blog on their website because it looks unprofessional. Blogs are for personal websites, they say.

Inspiration

Of course, creating blog content extends beyond what Google and other search engines want. And although your blog posts should interest your customers and target audience, there’s something else to consider:

Is your blog content about something that you love? Is it something that allows you to both give love and receive love from others?

You must discover work that you do, not for its utility, but for itself, whether it succeeds or not, whether you are praised for it or not, whether you are loved and rewarded for it or not, whether people know about it and are grateful to you for it or not.
